Day 15

Short progress update. We had a birthday in the family on Saturday, so not much got done. Sunday was pretty productive, though. I got the rest of the electric buttoned up, the low voltage to all the cabinet locations in place, and hung the rest of the drywall. The soffits and new pantry are all enclosed now, and I’m starting to tape the seams.

My father-in-law will be coming down to help me spray the orange-peel texture on the walls once I’m done getting every thing smooth. I don’t particularly like the texture, but that’s what the rest of the house is, so we have to make it match.

Soffits are enclosed!

This week, I’ll be moving the over-the-range microwave so I can take down the last bit of wall. That will really open up the space!
